On December 27, Turkey’s Anadolu Agency released a video showing tunnels and fortifications of the Kurdish People’s Protection Units (YPG) in the area of Manbij in northern Syria. The news agency claimed that the YPG is actively preparing for clashes in the area in the event of Turkish military operation there.
The released video reveals YPG efforts to extend and expand the tunnels as well as electrical work to light them up for the use of machines and wheelbarrows. According to the report, the tunnels surround the district center of Manbij.
