On October 29th, the Yemeni Ansar Allah movement claimed that its forces attacked the industrial zone in the Israeli city of Ashkelon in the south of the country with drones.

According to the released statement, the drones successfully hit their targets.

“Speaking out against the oppression of the Palestinian and Lebanese peoples and in support of the Palestinian and Lebanese resistance, as part of the fifth stage of military operations, the air force of the Yemeni armed forces conducted a high-quality military operation in the industrial zone of the Israeli enemy in the Ashkelon area in the south of occupied Palestine. The operation was carried out using several drones, which managed to achieve the goal,” the Houthi armed forces said in a statement on the Al-Masirah TV channel.

The Houthis launched several kamikaze UAVs, but not all of them reached the Israeli territory. Eyewitnesses filmed footage of one drone falling in a desert area. There were no casualties. Another Houthi drone struck a bridge in Nahariya. The drone’s power was insufficient to cause heavy damage to the bridge.

Earlier, the Israel military reported that the drone that crashed in a field area in Ashkelon was examined. The Israeli military concluded that the aircraft was launched from Yemen.

The Houthis also announced strikes on three ships in support of Palestine and Lebanon. The cargo ships Maersk Kowloon and SC Montreal came under attacks in the Arabian Sea, and the bulk carrier Motaro was attacked in the Red Sea. Anti-ship ballistic missiles and kamikaze UAVs were used in attacks. Crews reported that drones and missiles exploded near the ships, causing no damage.
