This map provides a general look at the military situation in the countryside of the Yemeni city of Sanaa on December 23, 2017. Saud-led forces are pressuring the Houthis in a number of areas. However, they have still not been able to capture two key cities: Al-Mastamaa and Sirwah. Thus, the Houthis’ defense in the area remains strong enough to prevent any attempts of the Saudi-led coalition to reach the Yemeni capital.
