The damaged HIMARS MLRS travelled back home to the United States. Footage from Pennsylvania revealed that on February 10, AN-124-100 (UR-82008) cargo aircraft of the Antonov Airlines landed at Harrisburg International Airport.

The aircraft had at least two M142 HIMARS MLRS from Ukraine onboard. The vehicles had the Ukrainian crosses drawn on them.

Footage from the airport showed that the systems were damaged. On eof them is seen missing the right front wheel. The second was slightly damaged by shrapnel. The systems were apparently transferred to the Letterkenny repair plant of the US Army.

Judging by the footage, the vehicles did not suffer any significant damage, but the Ukrainian military could not repair them by its own means. That’s why two HIMARS vehicles had to cross the globe to be repaired. Taking into account that there is no flight zone in Ukraine, the way back home to the US was not easy.

After unloading the damaged HIMARS MLRS, 6 pieces of other vehicles were loaded onto the aircraft, after which it set off on its journey back to Ukraine.
