Palestinian protesters have managed to bring down an alleged Israeli unmanned aerial vehicles (UAV) with rocks. according to the footage released by Press TV on May 5.
The video shows Palestinians casting stones at the UAV. While sirens were heard in the background, a cloud of gray smoke filled the scene. A moment when the UAV crash can be seen also.
Similar reports emerged on May 4, but the place of the incident remained unknown.
Israel actively uses UAVs to monitor Palestinian protests. In March, the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) even used tear gas-deploying UAVs to disperse protesters along the Gaza border.
Palestinians have been protesting near the Gaza border as part of the “Great Return March” since late March. The demonstrations are expected to finish on May 15, a day when Palestinians mark what they regard as a mass evacuation from their land because of Israel’s establishment.
According to the Gaza Health Ministry, 45 people have been killed and 6,800 have been injured since the protests began.
