Aftermath of the incident
The German Navy’s frigate SACHSEN (F219) was caught on fire as a result of accident during the launch of a Standard Missile-2 off the Norwegian coast on June 21.
According to reports, there were no casualties among the crew. However, the frigate’s missile launcher, decking and the bridge were damaged.
