The US-led coalition is preventing the Syrian Arab Army (SAA) and its allies from liberating the last ISIS stronghold in Syria, al-Bukamal city,the Hezbollah media wing in Syria claimed on November 15.
The media outlet added that the US-led coalition is aiding ISIS by jamming the SAA communications and even blocking some part of the airspace over al-Bukamal.
The Hezbollah media wing added that clashes are still ongoing around al-Bukamal and in some districts in the city. However, no SAA advance was reported.

From its side, the ISIS-linked news agency Amaq, reported that ISIS fighters targeted a gathering of SAA soldiers west of al-Bukamal city with an ATGM. Seven soldiers of the SAA were killed in the ATGM strike according to Amaq.

Amaq also announced that ISIS fighters destroyed a bulldozer, a tank and damaged another tank of the SAA with ATGM west of al- Bukamal city also.

Meanwhile, Kurdish sources claimed that the US-backed-Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) reached Abu Hammam town on the eastern bank of the Euphrates River, 45km northwest of al-Bukamal city. However, these claims are yet to be confirmed by the SDF.
The SDF rapid advance towards al-Bukamal city could be a desperate attempt to reach the city, or at least to capture some positions north of it to give the US-led coalition a close eye on the SAA activates in the al-Bukamal border crossing in the future.
