In the period between September 19 and September 23, US-led coalition military forces conducted 152 strikes consisting of 238 engagements against ISIS terrorists in Syria and Iraq, according to strike reports released by Operation Inherent Resolve’s website.
In Syria, Combined Joined Strike Force engaged ISIS forces near Abu Kamal, Dayr Az Zawr and Raqqah. The Coalition has destroyed a number of vehicles and fighting positions, in addition to three command and control nodes, six logistics nodes, five VBIEDs and two IEDs. Five supply routes and an ISIS headquarters have been put out of commission.
In Iraq, the Coalition forces have engaged ISIS forces in Rawah and on the outskirts of Al Qaim, Haditha, Huwijah, Rawah, Baghdad, Bayji, Samarra and Tal Afar. 16 ISIS tactical units were engaged overall, with six ISIS headquarters destroyed.
The engagements resulted in the destruction of a number of vehicles, bunkers, fighting positions, VBIED and VBIED facilities. Along with two ISIS staging areas, a number of armaments and weapon caches has been destroyed, amongst them IEDs, mortar systems, medium and heavy machine guns.
