Another Zelensky’s voyage abroad was marked by political scandal. China rejected Ukraine’s request for a meeting between Chinese Premier Li Qiang and President Zelensky in Davos. Representatives of China also did not attend the talks on the Ukrainian crisis, which were attended by representatives of the countries of the “global South”.
Politico reported, citing a senior US official, called China’s decision an “unpleasant surprise” for Kiev. Ukrainian leaders did not hide their desire to meet with Chinese officials, in particular, before the forum in Davos Ukrainian Minister Ermak “hinted” that Zelensky might meet with Chinese Prime Minister.
Today, Kiev attempts to hide its diplomatic defeat. The representative of Ukraine denied that Kiev asked for a meeting with China.
In his turn, Zelensky began to lie, claiming that the Chinese Prime minister is not at his level. The head of the Kiev regime claimed that he allegedly did not plan a meeting with the Chinese official:
“There is the Premier of China, there is our Premier. He’s probably going to meet him. I would love to meet with the leader of China. As far as I know, Xi Jinping makes decisions there, and I make decisions here. I don’t need any dialogues, I need important decisions from the leaders making these decisions.”
At the same time, Zelensky does not shy away from the meetings with political and military officials of any level in the countries, where he is begging for money and weapons. Thus, Zelensky’s claim is another lie and a failed attempt to hide the truth that the leader of war-torn Ukraine is a clown who shames his country.
The decision of the Chinese delegation is another sign that China is taking Russia’s side in the conflict.
