On June 29th, another group of Ukrainian militants preparing terrorist attacks against civilians was detained in the city of Kherson region is under control of the Russian military.
As a result of a security operation of Russian forces, a group of members of the Ukrainian territorial defence were detained. Ukrainian militants confirmed that they prepared terrorist attacks against the local civilians and they were acting on the instructions of the Security Service of Ukraine.
The local military-civil administration of the region, created under the control of Russian troops, reported that the detainees acted on the instructions of an SBU officer located on the territory of Western Ukraine.
A cache of RPG-22s and ammunition was found and seized in the basement of a residential building, where members of the Theroborona were hiding.
Ukrainian militants have already attempted to carry out several terrorist attacks against civilians and local officials in the Kherson region. Unfortunately, some of them resulted in deaths of their victims. A number of them were thwarted.
On June 27th, unknown men blew up the car of the head of the local Department of Education, Culture, and Sports. The woman survived the assassination attack.
On June 24th, the head of the Youth Policy Department was killed in the city of Kherson. His car was also blown up by Kiev-led saboteurs.
Another group of Ukrainian militants was detained in Kherson on June 27th. They were preparing mass shooting in the local hotel in order to blame it on the Russian military.
Despite the Kiev’s attempts to threaten civilians in the region which is under the Russian control, the local authorities have begun to prepare a referendum on joining Russia. The region is going to become a part of the Russian Fecderation. The referendum is planned to be held in autumn.
“We are preparing for a referendum, and we will hold it. The Kherson region will make a decision and join Russia, will become a full—fledged entity that can be like one single state in which multinational peoples do not just get along — in which the peoples of Russia live alone, united, whole as one family,” Deputy head of the local military-civil administration Kirill Stremousov claimed.
The Kherson official noted that the region is developing. For example, the railway traffic was restored. For the first time in eight years, regular rail service between the Crimea, Kherson and Zaporozhye regions will be launched on July 1.
“This is a comprehensive process. This includes the issuance of passports, and the establishment of economic life so that enterprises, plants, factories can work. It is necessary for everything to start — the region has started working,” a source in the local administration reported.
