Another act of railway sabotage has struck Russian infrastructure, this time in the Belgorod region, where a freight locomotive derailed. According to preliminary investigation, the reason is an explosive device detonated beneath the tracks.
According to the local Governor Vyacheslav Gladkov, the incident occurred in the Prokhorovka district, damaging a section of the railway but causing no casualties. The attack disrupted train traffic for over two hours before repairs were completed and operations resumed. This marks at least the fourth such incident since the beginning of June, as Ukrainian forces, facing setbacks on the battlefield, increasingly resort to terrorist tactics targeting civilian infrastructure.
The latest attack follows a similar attempt in the Voronezh region, where an explosive device was planted near the village of Saguny.
