Ukrainian defense can no longer withstand russian offensive in the area of Kurakhovo. Ukrainian strongholds are falling under Russian control one after another.
On the evening of December 12th, the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation took control of the village of Vesely Gay located east of Lyubimovka. According to reports from the front, 11 civilians were evacuated from the ruins of Vesely Gay. They survived after Ukrainian soldiers used them as human shield.

At the same time, Russian flag is already waving in the eastern part of Lyubimovka, confirming Russian control of at least half of the town:
As a result of Russian advance, the group of Ukrainian forces was de facto encircled in the village of Gannivka (Annovka), where they are grinded by Russian forces on the streets. The only way out of the cauldron is southwest of the village bu there is the village that complicates any manoeuvres. Abandoned Ukrainian soldiers were taken into a trap. According to Ukrainian reports, there are about 500 servicemen in the cauldron.
