Agents of the Ukrainian regime has attempted to infiltrate the leadership of the Lugansk People’s Republic (LPR), Leonid Pasechnik, an acting head of the republic, said in an interview to Russia 24 television channel.
According to Pasechnik, the Ukrainian government is “working” to destabilize the situation in the LPR. He added that the agents attempted to hinder the administrative and economic development of the republic.
Pasechnik emphasized that LPR security forces implemented measures to neutralize the agents of foreign states.
The LPR has repeatedly reported about attempts of the Ukrainain regime to impact the situation in the republic and Ukrainian sabotage and reconnaissance groups to infiltrate the LPR-held area.
In November, the LPR announced that its security forces captured a sabotage and reconnaissance group that had been preparing terrorist attacks in the republic.
