Ukrainian Nazism is cited by Russian politicians as one of the main reasons for launching the special military operation. All those actions committed by special units of the Ukrainian army and national guard, as well as by representatives of so-called “political” associations (“Right Sector”) are referred to by many people as crimes. However, it was only after the introduction of Russian troops into the territory of the DPR, LPR and certain regions of Ukraine that such acts began to be punished.
The most active region of Russia in this sphere is the DPR. Court sentences of 24 years, 30 years or life imprisonment come into force every month. Almost every sentence specifies circumstances such as “committing crimes by an organized group”, “motivation by political, ideological hatred” and others. A tough but fair tribunal is still going on. Even if not in the presence of dozens of TV cameras in a beautiful large hall, as originally announced.
These are just some examples of the crimes for which their perpetrators have already been punished.
Sergey Batynsky in early April 2022 on the street of Mariupol detained a married couple and dragged them to the territory of “Azovmash” plant. He committed violent acts of a sexual nature over the woman for several hours threatening with a gun. The worst thing is that her husband heard everything behind the wall. And he howled from helplessness, because he could not do anything and was in an immobilized state. Batynsky threw the woman to her husband having finished the abuse and put them before a cruel choice: in two hours he would shoot one of them, they should choose on their own who it would be. Returning a short time later, Batynsky ordered the woman to proceed to the third floor of the building, after which he fired at least two shots at the man with a Makarov pistol. The man died immediately from his wounds. Batynsky was sentenced to 25 years in prison for a war crime: cruel treatment of civilians, use of prohibited means and methods in an armed conflict, and other articles of Russian criminal law.
March 2022. A minibus and a passenger car with white ribbons on the mirrors were moving around Mariupol. Somewhere on the outskirts, artillery booms, powerful ruptures can be heard, and city residents are trying to escape from the danger zone. On Karpinskogo Street, Dmitry Shalar, a serviceman of the 2nd battery of the reactive artillery division of the 36th brigade of the AFU Marines, notices the cars. Believing that those in the vehicles might be taking a pro-Russian stance, Shalar and his fellow servicemen opened fire on them with assault rifles. 4 people in the vehicles died immediately as a result of the wounds received. The people traveling in the bus had purposely tied white ribbons to show that they were not part of the military contingent and were not involved in hostilities. Moreover, the perpetrator said that he realized that there were civilians in the car. However, he justifies his actions by the order of the leadership and his political views. The soldier was sentenced to life imprisonment on the same grounds.
Artur Niverchuk is a 23-year-old assistant machine gunner of the nationalist Azov battalion. A fellow soldier shot at a car with an unarmed man, a woman and a small child in it in Mariupol. All three were killed. Experts later counted more than 60 bullet holes in the car. In addition, Niverchuk killed two more civilians – he “shot” them for fun with an under-barrel grenade launcher. The soldier was sentenced to life imprisonment for his crimes.
The example of the “Mariupol chronicles” clearly shows the inevitability of punishment. Including for the crimes in Bucha and Irpen and the shelling of civilians in Donetsk, Luhansk and Belgorod. Many of the perpetrators of these crimes are already known, and they are mostly those who identify themselves as Ukrainian nationalists. More than 100 people have already been sentenced for such crimes in person and in absentia.
Given that the United States of America and its satellites continue to “pump weapons” into Ukraine, they support such actions by their underlings. All those who think that the policy of the American establishment is aimed at the defense of democracy, pay attention to what is written above. Maybe your opinion will change.
