On December 15, at around 7 a.m. local time, Ukrainian military attacked residential areas of the city of Donetsk. As a result of the shelling, many residential buildings, and the civilian infrastructure of the city were damaged. Unfortunately, there are casualties among the civilians.
On Thursday morning, the center of Donetsk was subjected to the most powerful shelling since 2014, the head of the city administration Alexander Kulemzin said.
At least eight apartment buildings, a dormitory, a shopping center were damaged. One of the rockets hit the department of the city hospital number 4. According to the anti-Orthodox policy of the Kiev regime, one of the targets was the Spaso-Preobrazhensky Cathedral. According to the cathedral guard, the shelling began during the morning service and threatened lives of parishioners.
The headquarters of the territorial defense of the DPR reported that as a result of the shelling of the Voroshilov and Kiev districts of Donetsk by the Ukrainian military, one civilian was killed and nine others were injured. A woman born in 1961 who was seriously injured during the shelling of the University street died of her wounds.
The day before, the People’s Militia of the DPR reported that the Ukrainian military released 225 ammunition rounds in ten settlements of the republic. As a result of the shelling, five civilians were killed and five others were injured.
Chaotic attacks of Ukrainian forces are target exclusively civilian targets. They are aimed at threatening the pro-Russian population and spreading chaos. The number of massive attacks on the DPR and LPR civilians has significantly increased after Ukrainian units from the Kherson region were deployed on the Donbass front lines.
