The Main Intelligence Directorate of Ukraine claimed responsibility for another failed terrorist attack on the Russian territory. On the morning of March 4, an explosion damaged a railway bridge in the Samara region.
According to the local reports, the explosion thundered at about 6 a.m. local time on the railway bridge over the Chapaevka River. The attack was aimed to undermine the pillars and destroy the bridge; but the attempt failed. The concrete structures remained intact, only some metal fences were damaged. As a result of the explosion, traffic on the Zvezda – Chapaevsk railway section was suspended, five trains were delayed.
Two more IEDs were discovered on the railways near the villages of Bezenchuk and Nagorny.
The attack was aimed to disrupt the railway communication in the region, which is used by the local strategic enterprises, such as the Volga State Ammunition Test Site and chemical plants near Chapaevsk.
The attack failed but the GUR of Ukraine took responsibility for it in an attempt to declare another fake victory.
