Ukrainian Helicopters Successfully Strike Oil Depot In Belgorod, Russia

In the early hours of 1 April, a Ukrainian helicopter team of two Mi-24 helicopters successfully hit a large oil depot in the border city of Belgorod, Russian Federation.

According to the Belgorod regional governor, the fire at the Belgorod oil depot was caused by an airstrike from two helicopters of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, which entered Russian territory at a low altitude.

The fire has been assigned the first degree of difficulty.

According to preliminary information, two employees of the oil depot were injured – they have already received first aid, their lives are not in danger.

“All resources are available to fight the fire. The Emergency Ministry is trying to contain the fire as soon as possible. The population is not in danger,” said Governor of Belgorod Region.

Governor Vyacheslav Gladkov said that the residents of Pochtovaya, Makarenko and Konstantin Zaslonov streets near the oil depot were temporarily accommodated in the Belgorod Arena and would be able to return home after the fire was put out.

By 12:00 local time, the fire was almost completely extinguished.
