On August 27, the Armed Forces of Ukraine attempted new operations across the Russian border. Ukrainian attacks were reported in the Belgorod region, while the groupings of the Armed Forces of Ukraine are grinded in the Kursk region nearby.
Another attempt of the Armed Forces of Ukraine was launched near the town of Zhuravlevka in the Belgorod region. According to local reports, a group of several dozen Ukrainian servicemen on armored vehicles crossed Russian border in the forest area near the Zhuravlevka checkpoint.
The Armed Forces of the Russian Federation opened fire on enemy forces with artillery, mortars and drones, and entered battles. According to preliminary reports, Russian border guards together with servicemen of the Ministry of Defense repelled several waves of attacks.
Battles were also reported in the border are near the village of Krasnaya Yaruga, where Ukrainian group was destroyed in the forest area.
Reports about Ukrainian attack near the border crossing in the village of Nehoteevka were not confirmed.
The Armed Forces of Ukraine failed to achieve any strategic victories in the Kursk region. After the media effect of Ukrainian attack subsided but bloody battles continue bringing more losses in manpower and equipment without any changes of the frontlines. Unable to advance deep on the Russian territory, the Armed Forces of Ukraine continue attacks along the border probing Russian defense and attempting to distract the Russian military from the cauldron in the Kursk region.
