Ukrainian Drones Struck Russian Rear Oil Depot, While Russian Drones Are Flying Over Kiev

On January 16th, Ukrainian forces launched another wave of drone strikes on the Russian territory. At night, Ukrainian UAVs targeted Russian Western regions. According to the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation, 27 Ukrainian drones were destroyed by Russian air defense in four regions. They included:

  • 15 UAVs in the Belgorod region;
  • 7 UAVS in the Voronezh region;
  • 3 in the Tambov region;
  • 2 in the Kursk region.

As a result of the attack, an oil depot caught fire in the area of Liski in the Voronezh region. The local governor confirmed the damage, claiming that according to preliminary reports, there were no victims.

 

 

In total, over the past 24 hours, Russian air defense forces have shot down three guided Hammer bombs, 12 HIMARS MLRS missiles and 95 enemy aircraft-type unmanned aerial vehicles.

On the other hand, the Russian military attacked the infrastructure of the military airfields of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. The targets also included places of production and assembly of Ukrainian drones. This was reported by the Russian Ministry of Defense.

The Ukrainian media also reported that Russian military UAV was spotted flying over the center of the Ukrainian capital Kyiv. Ukrainian deputies claimed that Russian Gerean kamikaze UAV was flying in the area of the Verkhovna Rada in the center of the city. The local mayor Klitschko reported on the work of Ukrainian air defense on a drone in the center of the capital. As a result, it wreckage fell in the Solomenskiy district, damagingcar.
