The heavy battle for the village of Krynki is ongoing on the eastern bank of the Dnieper River. The Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) are in control of a small area in the center of the village and on the islands nearby. The Russian military is in control of other islands in the area and continue reducing the zone of the Ukrainian control in Krynki.
According to the latest estimations, only about 40 Ukrainian servicemen remain on the eastern bank of the river. Ukrainian attempts to send reinforcement result in growing losses. Boats with Ukrainian servicemen go to the bottom of the Dnieper on a daily basis. The Ukrainian army is loosing up to 20 soldiers daily.
Russian aircraft, drones and artillery continue constant strikes, destroying the ruins where the remnants of the AFU are hiding, including with 9M22s lightning shells:
Despite the heavy losses, the Ukrainian military command is accumulating forces on the western bank in an attempt to replace the units destroyed in the failed operations across the river. In total, about 20 different units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine are deployed in the Kherson region, almost half of which are unmanned aviation units. The reinforcement of the Ukrainian grouping in the Kherson region may lead to new attempt to cross the Dnieper and launch attacks in other areas on the Russian bank.
