According to the reports by the Syrian Arab News Agency SANA, based on the claims of the local sources, the US convoy consisted of about 50 vehicles, including trucks, refrigerators and tankers.

It reportedly entered the Syrian territory via al-Waleed (al-Tanf) border crossing and was moving towards US military bases in the Syrian al-Jazeera region.

SANA reported that the convoy first headed to Kharab al-Jir Airport and then, moved towards Hasaka. It’s final destination is likely the Hasaka’s southern countryside, where the US  base is located in al-Shaddadi.

The reinforcement is likely aimed to expand the military base of the U.S.-led coalition located near the town of al-Shaddadi in the southern countryside of al-Hasakah. Such plans of the international coalition were revealed by Syrian news sources last month.

The coalition is likely building a new ground to train fighters of the Syrian Democratic Forces there, despite the official denial.

In July, large convoys and U.S. helicopters transported weapons as well as necessary construction equipment to the al-Shaddadi base.

Earlier this year, an airfield was built in al-Omar oil fields in southeastern Deir Ezzor. A large base is also under construction in northeastern al-Hasakah, near the border line with Iraq and Turkey.

A month ago, on August 27th, another large convoy headed towards to a military base near the town of Tell Beydar in the northern Hasakah.
