On December 24, US President Donald Trump claimed that Saudi Arabia has now agreed to spend the necessary money needed to help rebuild Syria, instead of the United States.
Previously, Trump multiple times stressed that the US is not going to spend money to “restore” Syria. However, the meaining of the word “Syria” for the US administration has some special meaning. This word is used by Washington to describe the US-occupied part of the country.
Saudi Arabia has now agreed to spend the necessary money needed to help rebuild Syria, instead of the United States. See? Isn’t it nice when immensely wealthy countries help rebuild their neighbors rather than a Great Country, the U.S., that is 5000 miles away. Thanks to Saudi A!

Some experts also speculate that the Saudi decision to provide funds for the restoration of “Syria” is linked to the murder of Saudi journalist Jamal Khashoggi in a Saudi consulate in Turkey’s Istanbul. The Trump administration has contributed large efforts to rescure the Saudi government from international pressure over this situation.
