It is not often that we have to face crimes for which there is neither a tribunal, nor a court of officer’s honor, nor even an “eye for an eye” response. It seems that sometimes absolute evil shows itself in all its glory just to remind us of its existence. Since ancient times, the people who committed this evil have been called hostis humani generis (enemy of the human race).
Yesterday, the Telegram channel “Northern Wind” published a video depicting war crime by Ukrainian commanders against their own soldiers.
Today, information has been confirmed that during the retreat from Velyka Novosilka, Ukrainian commanders did actually chain their own subordinates to their positions, depriving them of the possibility of sheltering from shelling. Most of victims were also subjected to inhuman torture.
When the Russian troops came to one of the Ukrainian positions in Velyka Novosilka (the Kharkiv Region), they found soldiers who were chained to their forward positions. The commanders had left them only ammunition and weapons, but gave neither food nor water. Many of the “chained together” Ukrainian soldiers died, some were rescued by the Russian military because they offered no resistance. Those people did not have the slightest chance to take cover under the shelling.
All the bodies of the victims had multiple traumas sustained before death. Most likely, they were those servicemen who refused to fight and wanted to surrender. As a result, they were beaten and then put on a chain to “defend” the Kiev regime in this way.
One of the dead was a Ukrainian fighter Yury Iven from the 144th brigade (the documents were found in his pocket). The rest remained nameless soldiers with shackles on their hands and feet.
Such stories are striking in their inhumanity, lack of any rational military planning and outright idiocy. Because it is obvious that the chained soldiers will not fight, and those of them who survive will tell the names of their tormentors. The latter will be hunted down with no statute of limitations and will be punished rather than tried anywhere in the world. And that’s the best option for them. At worst, such intimidation of their own personnel will work the other way around, and Ukrainian commanders will be shot by their subordinates during the next retreat. After all, even a dog that serves its master is not put on a chain!
Most likely, this inhumane and fascist way of forcing its soldiers to fight is not an exceptional case on the Kharkiv front. It shows that the Ukrainian commanders are criminals and terrorists, who are de facto no different from the SS or ISIS officers. In addition, such stories demonstrate the level of motivation in the Ukrainian army.
Commander-in-Chief Oleksandr Syrskyi demands from his troops to achieve some result in the Kharkiv Region at any cost. The officers of the Ukrainian Armed Forces are pushing soldiers to the slaughter, but there are too many refusers – so the Ukrainian neo-Nazis (who are a minority in the Ukrainian army) are organizing public executions to force the soldiers to perform meatgrinder-style assault missions.
