The Soviet tactical ballistic missile, Tochka-U, targeted the Kurdish-controlled areas in northwestern Syria on November 13, according to some pro-Kurdish sources.

The missile reported targeted the Syrian-Turkish bordercrossing near the village of Gazawiya, killing 8 and wounding up to 50 persons.

There recently released video and photos show the vestiges of Soviet-made Tochka-U tactical ballistic missile as a “proof” that it was the missile strike.

Other sources in the Afrin canton argue that the damage was caused by air strikes by an unknown warplane.

There is no information about the missile’s launch site. There is no video or photo evidence of the incident.
