On Saturday, the Syrian Arab Army (SAA) Tiger Forces captured the Al-Sabeikhat area in the northern countryside of Deir Ezzor.
With this advance, the SAA entered the administrative border of the province of Deir Ezzor. SAA troops deployed less than 50 km away from Tal Sanof – the closet SAA position in the city of Deir Ezzor besieged by ISIS terrorists.

In the eastern Homs countryside, the SAA continued its advance and imposed fire control over the Sukhna Gas Field and several heights around the strategic town of Sukhna. According to pro-government sources, the SAA is only 200 meters away from the Sukhna town’s entrances and it’s expected to start storming them soon.
From its side, ISIS claimed that 10 Syrian soldiers were killed in an attack on SAA positions in the Al-Wahab field in the southwestern Raqqa countryside. ISIS claimed that its fighters also managed to capture a Syrian soldier during the attack.
Furthermore, ISIS claimed that 3 Syrian soldiers were killed during clashes east of еру Al-Heel field in northeast of Palmyra.
The ISIS-linked News Agency Amaq published a video showing ISIS fighters’ attack on SAA positions south of Resafa town in the southern Raqqa countryside yesterday.
Some pro-government sources believe that SAA will manage to capture Sukhna and the entire eastern Hama countryside in the coming weeks, which means that SAA will be able, in the next stage, to focus fully on fighting ISIS in Deir Ezzor.
