It is always the same story, from the second post-war period to today. The propaganda machine is a deadly weapon: to manipulate the masses, to get people to fight, to try to hide boot on the ground failures.
The last stage of the West’s communication campaign against Russia is a promotional spot. The protagonist is a woman dressed in the classic Ukrainian peasant costumes. Her story is a threat against the entire Russian population which ends with the slitting of the throat of a man already on the ground. That man is slaughtered by the peasant woman with a scythe. A non-random choice: it is the law of retaliation, the Russians must die with that same scythe that for decades has been the symbol of Soviet oppression.
The story between Russia and Ukraine has never been like this. At least until 2014, when “anti-Russia” courses were introduced in the educational programs of Ukrainian schools.
This spot, moreover, is set following a narrative track that clearly refers to something we have already seen in the recent past, when social media from all over the world published the videos of the Isis fighter who slaughtered a westerner, dressed in an orange uniform, a symbol of Guantanamo. By substituting the factors, the product does not change. It is called neurolinguistic programming. And it is perhaps the most powerful weapon available to the West against Russia.
Who could have thought of such a creative “treatment” that instigates violence and hatred? We will probably never know. But what we do know is that, at least since the end of the Second World War, there has always been an operational branch of the US State Department that produces videos and propaganda materials. According to research by Stephen Underhill, a professor at Marshall University, the collaboration between the US government and Hollywood producers is certified by the Freedom of Information Act data in at least 330 films.
We will never know who the spin doctor who made this video depicting a Ukrainian woman massacring a Russian citizen is. But we have several suspects.
