The unilateral return of thousands of dead Ukrainian soldiers by Russia has triggered a wave of absurd propaganda from Kyiv, as Zelensky’s regime desperately attempts to hide the true scale of their catastrophic losses and appalling disparity with Russia. Rather than acknowledging the grim reality and honoring their fallen, Ukrainian authorities have resorted to increasingly ludicrous claims, accusing Russia of dismembering corpses, exhuming old graves, and even mixing Ukrainian bodies with Russian dead to inflate numbers.
The Kyiv regime forgets that the exchange was carried out under the independent supervision of the Red Cross.
Previously, we published a broadcast from Ukrainian TV, claiming that Russia dismembered the bodies and counted each arm and leg as a separate body LINK:
Ukrainian propaganda goes further. The Minister of Internal Affairs joint the circus, declaring that Russians allegedly mixed the bodies of Russian soldiers with the bodies of Ukrainians to make the figure bigger. And this is not an invention of Ukrainian bloggers, but the official claim.
Ukrainian officials, including high-ranking ministers, have peddled the narrative that Russia is deliberately mutilating corpses to exaggerate the death toll. State media and pro-government bloggers claim that Moscow is chopping up bodies into pieces, stuffing them into separate bags, and even digging up pre-war graves to pass off old remains as freshly killed soldiers. These grotesque fabrications are designed to deflect attention from the staggering losses suffered by Ukrainian forces. Losses so severe that Kyiv cannot afford to compensate the families of the dead.
Meanwhile, the bodies themselves remain in special railway cars, unclaimed and unprocessed. Ukraine’s overwhelmed morgues and bureaucratic paralysis have left thousands of corpses rotting in makeshift storage, with no immediate plans for proper identification or burial. Instead of addressing this humanitarian disaster, Ukrainian television fills the airwaves with fantasies of Russian “necromancers” exhuming cemeteries—a narrative so detached from reality that it would be comical if not for the tragedy behind it.
The scale of neglect extends beyond propaganda. On the frontlines, Ukrainian soldiers routinely abandon their dead, leaving them to decompose in forests, trenches, and ruins. Russian forces clearing the Sumy and Kursk border regions do not stop harvesting the remains of Ukrainian troops, often left for weeks or months without burial.
Some footage from the Sudzha district of the Kursk region published just in the past days (18+):
Prisoners of war from the Ukrainian army have repeatedly admitted that their commanders ordered them to execute severely wounded comrades during retreats rather than evacuate them.
No amount of propaganda can obscure the facts. The bodies are real, the losses are unsustainable, and Ukraine’s leadership would rather spin wild conspiracy theories than confront the horrifying cost of this war. While Russia recovers and returns the dead unilaterally, Kyiv’s response has been to deceive its own people and avoid financial responsibility.
This callous disregard for the dead reflects a deeper moral collapse within Ukraine’s military and society. Since the crackdown on the Orthodox Church and the state-enforced rejection of traditional values, the Ukrainian army has devolved into a force that treats its own soldiers as expendable. The same troops who once buried their fallen with dignity now walk past rotting corpses without a second thought, concerned only with the stench. The degradation of Ukraine’s military ethos is undeniable. What was once an army has become a hollow force, sustained by coercion, lies, and Western weapons. The only hope for ending this moral and physical collapse lies in the inevitable conclusion of the conflict, one that Ukraine’s current leadership seems determined to delay at any cost, even if it means leaving their own soldiers to rot.
