The Syrian army and the National Defense Forces (NDF), supported by the Russian Aerospace Forces, continued military pressure on Jabhat Fatah al-Sham (formerly Jabhat al-Nusra), Ahrar al-Sham and other ‘oppositioneers’ in the northern part of Hama province.
Pro-government sources argue that the joint terrorist forces’ defenses are collapsing due to a low morale, massive air strikes and ground attacks by the government forces. The Syrian army and its allies are now readying for full-cale advances to take control of the towns of Taybat al-Imam and Souran after repelling the terrorists’ counter-offensives on Ma’ardas.
Over 100 terrorists were killed and over 200 air strikes were delivered on terrorist targets within last week in the province.
The government forces have liberated over 20 villages and heights (including al-Sha’ta, Western al-Janinah, al-Talisiyeh, Tal Abyadh, Khafsin, Karah, al-Kabarieh, Tal Ahmar, Ma’an, Tal Bazam and Ma’ardes) from the joint terrorist forces since the start of offensive operations.
