On August 13, a terrorist attack took place in the Shah Cheragh shrine in the Iranian city of Shiraz. According to preliminary reports, at least four people were killed. eight others were wounded as a result of the attack.
Yadollah Bouali, the provincial commander of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps told the media that one shooter entered the shrine, while some reports claimed that the mosque was reportedly attacked by two terrorists. The shooter carried an assault rifle and eight magazines with 240 bullets.
The security forces eliminated the attacker.
This is the second terrorist attack in this mosque. At the end of October 2022, five unknown persons opened fire on its territory. 13 people were killed in the attack, and 45 others were injured.
