The Taliban has stepped up its operations against Afghan government forces on different fronts since April 14, when President Joe Biden announced a strict plan to pull all US troops from the country by September 11.
The group is yet to accept a political settlement with the authorities in Kabul. The situation in Afghanistan may explode after the withdrawal of US troops.
