The Syrian army and the National Defense Forces (NDF), backed up by the Russian Aerospace Forces, have retaken the Palmyra Triangle from ISIS terrorists near the ancient city of Palmyra in the province of Homs, according to reports in pro-government sources.
If reports are confirmed, it will mean that the army and the NDF are de-facto in control of the western entrance to Palmyra.
Yesterday, government trooops partly outflanked Palmyra from the southern and northern directions.
