The Syrian army and the National Defense Forces (NDF) have taken control of the farms, located northeast of the strategic town of Khan al-Sheih. The liberation of these farms is a part of the ongoing army-led operation aimed on liberation of Khan al-Sheih.
Khan al-Sheih is an important militant-controlled town in the Western Ghouta region near the Syrian capital Damascus. Recently, it has been cut off by the government forces from the rest of militant-controlled area in the region.
