AlMasdarNews reports: The Syrian Arab Army (SAA) has been rolling in the northern Hama countryside lately, capturing several points from the exhausted jihadist rebels of Jund Al-Sham (mostly Chechen fighters) and Jaysh Al-Izza.
On Thursday, the Syrian Arab Army’s “Tiger Forces,” backed by the National Defense Forces (NDF) and 87th Brigade of the 11th Tank Division, seized two more points from Jaysh Al-Izza, building a larger buffer-zone at the northern perimeter of Souran.
In addition to their advance at Souran, the Syrian Armed Forces also pushed north of Ma’an village after capturing more hilltops along the M-5 Highway (Aleppo-Damascus HIghway).
As a result of their advance on Thursday, the Syrian Armed Forces reached the outskirts of both Morek and Lahaya, which are located just south of the Idlib Governorate border.
