The Russian military has confirmed another important victory of the liberation of Stupochki, a key settlement south of the war-torn city of Chasov Yar. The Russian Ministry of Defense reported control of Stupochki back in May 26. The newly confirmed released footage confirmed the victory. Soldiers from the 1442nd Motorized Rifle Regiment of the 6th Division successfully raised the Russian flag over the village.
The capture of Stupochki, located just 5 kilometers south of Chasov Yar, provides Russian forces with improved positions to advance toward Predtecheno—the next major defensive line Ukrainian troops are preparing to hold. Located merely 3 kilometers from Konstantinovka, Predtecheno now represents the final barrier before Russian units can threaten the northeastern approaches to this critical defense node.
Fighting continues across multiple sectors of the Chasov Yar front. In the city’s central districts, Russian troops face stiff resistance as they push through urban terrain, while northwestern advances near the quarry areas remain grinding but steady. Ukrainian forces maintain organized defenses in Chasov Yar’s southern districts, though most of the city now falls under Russian control.
