On April 2, Transnistria came under another attack. An unidentified kamikaze drone targeted the military radar station in the Rybninsky district.

According to the press service of the Ministry of State Security of the Republic, the attack took place at about 2.35 p.m. The kamikaze UAV attacked the radar station deployed on the territory of a military unit in the Rybninsky district of the Pridnestrovian Moldovan Republic.

The attack did not cause severe damage, and the military personnel of the military unit was not wounded.

The targeted unit is located 6 km from the Ukrainian border, but the area from where the UAV was launched is yet to be officially revealed. According to preliminary reports, the drone in question could be Mavic of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

This is the second drone strike in Transnistria in recent times. On March 17, an unidentified kamikaze UAV attacked a helicopter parking lot on the territory of one of the military units in Tiraspol. As a result of the attack, one of the Mi-8 helicopters burned down. The drone crossed the border from the Ukrainian Odessa region. Then, Chisinau accused Tiraspol of provocation and escalation in the region.

The ongoing strikes on the Transnistrian military may signal the upcoming escalation and possible attack on the pro-Russian region from Ukraine and Moldova.
