On October 12, the US-backed Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) announced that its fighters killed 22 ISIS members during clashes around the national hospital and the al-Naim roundabout in the center of Raqqa city.

SDF fighters also evacuated more than 250 civilians from ISIS-held areas in Raqqa city over the 24 hours, according to Kurdish sources.
On October 13, a spokesman for the US-led coalition said that about 1,500 civilians were evacuated in the past week.

From its side, the ISIS-linked news agency Amaq claimed that ISIS snipers killed 3 SDF fighters in the center of Raqqa city on October 11. Amaq added ISIS fighters damaged a bulldozer of the SDF in al-Barid district in the city center.
Amaq also reported that over 35 civilians were killed in US-led coalition airstrikes on al-Bado district in Raqqa city. Syrian opposition sources confirmed the Amaq report.
In the northern Deir Ezzor countryside, the SDF has captured the village of Hilal, Hasf Tall, Ghayran, Jarbus, Tabaraya and Husayn at the al-Suwar road.
Meanwhile, ISIS attacked SDF positions in the Jafra oil field in the northern Deir Ezzor countryside. Clashe are still ongoing there.
15 ISIS fighters and 9 SDF fighters were killed in the clashes around the oil field, according to the sources.
So far, the ISIS attack on the Jafra oil field is the biggest attack against the SDF since the US-backed force launched its military operation in Deir Ezzor governorate. However, ISIS will not likely recapture the oil field because of the SDF resistance.
