The Armed Forces of the Russian Federation have won another important victory on the southern Donbass frontlines. On March 31th, the battle for the village of Razliv ended with Russian victory.
The newly shared footage showed Russian flag waving on the outskirts of the ruined village.
The victory was confirmed by Russian military reporters. Razliv was liberated as a result of the joint offensive operations of soldiers of the 36th Separate Guard Motorized Riffle Brigade and 430th Motorized Riffle Regiment of the 29th army. Russian fighters took control of the area more than 3 km deep in Ukrainian rear and along the front.
The battle for Razliv lasted for about ten days. After their breakthrough east of the village, Russian assault groups gained a foothold in its eastern and central parts. The Ukrainian military attempted to resist, but all counterattacks were repelled.
About 400 buildings were mopped up by Russian fighters in the village. Up to two companies (more than 150 military personnel) of the Armed Forces of Ukraine were reportedly destroyed.
Razliv was an important stronghold of defense of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the southern Donetsk direction. After their control of the village is secured, the further Russian advance is threatening the Ukrainian garrison in Konstantinople with encirclement from the west.
