On November 30, Russian warplanes carried out a series of airstrikes on terrorists’ strongholds in the southern Idlib countryside.

According to opposition activists, the airstrikes targeted the areas of Kafr Nabl and Hesh as well as the outskirt of the city of Ma`arat al-Nu`man. Al-Qaeda-affiliated Hay’at Tahrir al-Sham (HTS) captured most of these areas from Turkish-backed militants earlier this year.

Russian and Syrian warplanes also carried out dozens of airstrikes on terrorist group’s equipment and personnel in the southeastern Idlib countryside. HTS and is allies launched a large attack on Syrian Arab Army (SAA) positions in the region earlier on November 30.

The terrorists captured the towns of of Sarjah, Ejaz, Rasm al-Ward and Istablat following heavy clashes with the SAA.

The Russian Aerospace Forces and the Syrian Arab Air Force (SyAAF) will likely intensify their operations over Greater Idlib due to the ongoing escalation.
