The Syrian army clashing against ISIS terrorists in Deir Ezzor has received more air support, supplies and reinforcements.
On January 23, the Russian Aerospace Forces have airdropped another batch of supplies to government forces and civilians operating in the area. Syrian helictopers also dropped reinforcements from the Syrian Army’s Republican Guard to the 137th Military Base.
Involving fresh reinforcements, Syrian government forces continued attacks against ISIS terrorists along the supply line linking the 137th Military Base with the Deir Ezzor airport.
Meanwhile, six Russian Tu-22M3 long-range bombers again launched airstrikes on ISIS targets in the city, according to the Russian Defense Ministry.
“On January 23, 2017, six long-range Tu-22M3 bombers that took off from a Russian airfield and flew over Iraq and Iran carried out airstrikes on Daesh’s command posts, arms and ammunition depots near Deir Ez-Zor [Deir Ezzor] populated area.”
Last weekend, Russian Tu-22M3 bombers also conducted air raids targeting ISIS terrorists in the area.
