The phrase on the helmet reads: “God, when I die young, send me to heaven, I’ve already been to hell.”
The Russian Special Forces of the “O” grouping claimed the destruction of a group of Ukrainian saboteurs in the area of Volcheyarovka and the Lisichansk oil refinery in the Luhansk People’s Republic.
The town of Volcheyarovka was taken under control of the LPR on June 27th. The Lisichansk oi refinery was taken by Russian-led forces on June 29th. Despite the fact that the armed forces of Ukraine were withdrawn from the metropolitan area of Severodonetsk-Lisichansk a week ago and front lines have already reached the Bakhmut-Soledar-Seversk area, Russian and L/DPR units continue security operations in the region, especially on the southern outskirts of Lisichansk.
The Russian Special Forces managed to destroy a group of Ukrainian saboteurs in the rear south of Lisichansk. As a result of the clashes, some Ukrainian fighters were destroyed, at least four of them were captured alive. The exact numbers were not revealed.
Russian forces also discovered several caches of NATO military equipment in the area. the trophies included Javelin ATGM, Swedish AT-4 grenade launchers, as well as various small arms and ammunition.
The grouping of Russian forces with “O” sign was reportedly deployed in Ukraine from the Russian Central Military District. It was mainly operating in the Kharkiv region leading the offensive towards the Donetsk People’s Republic from the north. The O grouping took part in the battles for the Severodonetsk-Lisichansk metropolitan area, as well as for Yampol and Krasny Liman.
