UPDATE: The man who died as a result of the explosion in Donetsk was not an employee of the Federal Penitentiary Service, according to the statement of the Federal Penitentiary Service for the DPR. Thus, the department denied reports that the deceased was the head of the Elenovskaya detention center.

The terrorist Kiev regime committed another assassination in the Russian rear. On December 9th, Ukrainian saboteurs blew up a car in the city of Donetsk.

Explosive was hidden in the Toyota Land Cruiser. The car reportedly belonged to the former head of the detention center located in the village of Elenovka in the Donetsk People’s Republic. The man died on the spot as a result of the attack. According to local reports, his wife was reportedly in or next to the car at the moment of the explosion. Her leg was reportedly torn off, the woman was hospitalized.

The Russian military took Ukrainian prisoners of war to the detention center in Elenovka in 2022. On July 29th, it was destroyed by a precision strike with HIMARS MLRS. The Russian side provided evidence of Ukrainian attack, including to the UN. LINK As a result of the strike, at least 53 Ukrainian POWs from the Nazi Azov battalion were killed and 75 more prisoners were injured. Eight Russian employees of the center also received various injuries. Kiev blamed the Russian side for the attack, providing no evidence.

Those behind the explosion in Donetsk are yet to be revealed but there are no doubts that the terrorist Kiev regime is behind the assassination attempt on the Russian officer. On November 13th, another Russian officer was assassinated in Sevastopol. LINK
