Early on May 5, a series of explosions thundered the capital of Ukraine, the city of Kiev. The Russian Aerospace Forces struck the military infrastructure of the Armed Forces of Ukraine with high-precision missiles.
As a result of the attack, a local car repair company in Darnitsa was damaged. The strike was carried out by missile bombers, who fired 5-6 X-101 air-based missiles. At least 4 missiles reached their targets.
The attack on the capital could be a response to massive shelling on the residential areas in the city of Donetsk by Kiev’s forces, which has recently increased and left dozens of civilians dead.
” The Russian Aerospace Forces destroyed T-72 tanks and other armored vehicles supplied by Eastern European countries, placed in the buildings of a car repair company, with high-precision long-range air-based missiles on the outskirts of Kiev.” – the Russian Ministry of Defence reported.
According to Ukrainian sources, explosions hit at least two districts of the Ukrainian capital. Russian cruise missiles were seen over the city. The shelling in the Darnitsky and Dneprovsky districts of the capital was confirmed by the mayor of Kiev Klitschko. The adviser to Zelensky’s office, Podolyak, stated that the target of the strike was the civilian population of Kiev, but Klitschko stressed that there were no victims as a result of Russian strikes. According to the adviser to the head of the office of the Ukrainian president, Sergei Leshchenko, the target of the strikes was the railway. Thus, all the attempts to blame Russia of the attacks on civilians failed.
