A new series of photos showing Russian Military Police patrols near the Israeli-occupied Golan Heights has appeared online. The Russian forces were deployed in the area in 2018 in the framework of efforts to de-escalate the conflict in southern Syria.
Despite this, Tel Aviv continues to claim that multiple Hezbollah- and Iran-linked networks operate in the area near the Golan Heights. Therefore, Israel pretends that this allows it to continue strikes on supposed ‘Iranian targets’ in Syria.
