After days of fierce clashes, Russian-led forces claimed control of the village of Grigorovka which was turned in another foothold for the attack on the city of Seversk from the northern direction. Fighting broke out for control of the village of Serebryanka located 5 kilometers to Seversk.
Several assault groups of the Armed Forces of Ukraine attempted to brake through Russian forces in the area of Zolotarevka from their positions in Grigorovka. As a result of the attack, one of the companies of the 58 AFU brigade was surrounded.
After the clashes, the Russian Special Forces also destroyed the tactical group “Belarus”, once part of the neo-Nazi “Right Sector”.
Russian control over Grigorovka is another step towards the blockade of Seversk. The Ukrainian military positions in the city are already shelled by Russian missiles and artillery.

Russian forces deployed in the region are currently regrouping after the victory in the Lisichansk-SEverodonetsk metropolitan area. However, the pressure on Ukrainian forces on the Seversk-Soledar front line grows. The destruction of Ukrainian defences along this line is currently one of the priority goals of the Russian military.
Russian-led forces advance towards Seversk from three directions. Fierce fighting continues on the eastern outskirts of Verkhnekamenskoye. After Russian units took control of Spornoe, battles broke out on the outskirts of Ivano-Dariivka.
