On the morning of September 1, Russian military reporter shared footage of Russian strike on the field headquarters of the AFU commanders near the town of Pokrovsk (Krasnoarmeysk) in the DPR which is under control of the Ukrainian military.
According to the report, the building, where the command staff of the AFU had their meeting, was struck with two Iskander missiles. As a result of the strike, the headquarters, together with the officers of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, was reportedly destroyed.
Some reports claimed that the target was allegedly an ammunition depot of the AFU. However, the Russian military is more likely to launch two expensive missiles to destroy a more valuable target, like the AFU command. If confirmed, the successful strike on the Ukrainian military command in the area close to the frontlines indicates the good work Russian intelligence in the region.
The report did not reveal the date of the attack. However, on August 30, the Russian Ministry of Defence reported on another wave of strikes throughout Ukraine which resulted in destruction of the control and intelligence points of the Ukrainian troops. Thus, the footage may show the missile attack which took place on August 29th. The Russian military may also reveal more details in the daily briefing on September 2.
From August 25 to September 1, the Russian military launched five waves of strikes, the Russian Defense Ministry summed up. LINK
