While the Ukrainian military continue attempts to transfer reinforcements across the Dnieper River to save control of a small stronghold in Krynki, Russian forces are launching operations on the western bank of the Dnieper.

After Ukrainian plan to launch new offensive across the river in the Kherson region failed, the Ukrainian military was left with a small bridgehead in the village of Krynki covered with corpses of dead Ukrainian servicemen. In their turn, Russian forces managed to reduce the zone of Ukrainian control in the village as well as to secure control of the islands in the region. These gains allowed the Russian military to launch operations on the western bank of the Dnieper, which are rarely covered by military media.

The ongoing attacks by small assault groups result in growing losses of the Ukrainian army, including in manpower and military equipment. At the same time, the Ukrainian grouping on the western bank is constantly pounded by Russian aircraft and artillery.

The resumption of Russian operations in the Ukrainian rear marks impotence of the Ukrainian military to secure their positions and control the Dnieper River.
