Another strategically important stronghold of the Armed Forces of Ukraine is threatened with encirclement. Russian forces are rapidly advancing in the town of Velyka Novosilka on the southern Zaporozhie frontlines.
Both Russian and Ukrainian military sources confirmed Russian advance north of Velyka Novosilka. Assault on the village of Novy Komar began. Thus, the road that leads to Velika Novosilka from the north was cut off and Ukrainian military supplies were disrupted. Russian control of Novy Komar will pave the way to the further Russian advance toward Novoocheretovate located on the western bank of the Mokrie Yaly River. The Ukrainian military is hastily trying to reinforce another line of defense in the fields west of Novy Komar.
The Armed Forces of the Russian Federation are developing their offensive operations in different directions in the region. They advanced south of Velika Novosilka and continue expanding their zone of control on its eastern outskirts. West of Velika Novosilka, Russian forces took control of the dominant height west of Rovnopol and straightened the front.
