Protests in Hong Kong continued on August 10th and 11th, and are slanted to keep going on August 12th.

A 23-year-old female protester was allegedly shot in the eye by police and is at risk of losing it. This prompted plans to organize a sit-in at the Hong Kong International Airport on August 12th.

The demonstration plans, with some calling for 1 million people to descend on the airport, came after a series of violent clashes in Hong Kong on August 11, which led to injuries to both protesters and police officers.

As of 8:15 in the morning on August 12th, a total of 40 people, protesters and police included were injured and sent to hospital.

In a separate incident, a policeman inside Tsim Sha Tsui Police Station suffered burns to his legs after being hit by a petrol bomb. Which of course, according to MSM means this was a “peaceful protest,” – throwing petrol bombs and police.

MSM, such as CNN, are presenting the example of protesters shooting fire bombs at police as a “failure” on Hong Kong’s part of addressing protesters demands’ adequately.

“By appealing to the international community, and making sure it is their message that most foreigners are seeing, protesters have shown themselves adept at public relations. Meanwhile despite carrying out regular press briefings, the Hong Kong government has at times appeared at a loss as to how to engage with residents and protesters.

It comes as the Chinese government continues to ramp up its propaganda output in an effort to control the narrative about the protests, at least domestically.”

Thus, it is actually the Hong Kong Police that warranted it by employing “propaganda.”

This is reported by an outlet, which as the heading image of its video has a clearly non-Chinese/Hong Kong resident with a sign in English saying “Welcome to Hong Kong A city run by Police and Gangsters.”

After all, on August 11th, there was an approved rally in Victoria Park. Following that the “pro-democracy” protesters, were “democratically” discussing “where to go next.”

It should, once again, be reminded that the protests are “pro-democracy” only according to MSM and scarce images showing a questionable sign calling for democracy, quite conveniently written in English and always somehow away from the protesters.

In continuous meddling, on August 8th the US called the Chinese government “a thuggish regime.” This was a result of Hong Kong’s Ta Kung Pao publishing images and personal information of US diplomat Julie Eadeh who met with “pro-democracy” protesters.

The Office of the Commissioner of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Hong Kong lodged a formal complaint with the US consulate general over the meeting.

Leaking such information was “not how a responsible nation would behave,” said Megan Ortagus, who later confirmed that it was the US government’s position that the Chinese government was directly behind the leak.

In response, a spokesperson for the Office of the Commissioner of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of China in the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (HKSAR) on August 9th, denounced the remarks made by the U.S. State Department spokesperson on “as a blatant slander against China, which has confounded right with wrong and again exposed US gangster logic and hegemonic thinking.”

The Chinese spokesperson said that instead of regretting and stopping its arbitrary interference in Hong Kong affairs, which are China’s domestic affairs, “the US side has made venomous and unfounded allegations against the Chinese government for the leak of the information. It perceives China with malice, which again reveals its dark mentality.

Finally, the spokesperson said that US diplomats regard it as their “job” to “collude with local anti-government and even separatist forces around the world.”

“Such acts arbitrarily undermine other countries’ sovereignty and security despite their opposition and indignation, and show little regard for international law and basic norms governing international relations, including non-interference in other countries’ internal affairs.

The international community is all too familiar with the examples of such gangster logic and hegemonic acts, and knows only too well how much harm they have done to the world, the spokesperson added.”
