The town of Bakhmut (also known as Artyomovsk) remains one of the bloodiest battlefields on the Ukrainian front lines. The recent visit of Ukrainian President Zelensky to the Ukrainian positions in the war-torn town was an important media campaign which was a response to the wave of reports of Ukrainian media and international MSM covering the heavy losses of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the area. After Zelensky’s photos replaced those of wounded fighters in the headlines, the MSM forget about Bakhmut. However, the situation in the town did not change.
The new footage from the area confirms that Ukrainian units continue suffering heavy losses. Ukrainian servicemen address the political and military officials in Kiev complaining about the plight of Ukrainian troops.
Ukrainians addressed Mr Zaluzhny, showing the corps of dead fighters. The video shows the transfer of the corpses of Ukrainian militants from the front:
The battle for Bakhmut has been going on for several months. The town has been shelled by Russian artillery since May 2022, when the AFU were forced to leave Popasnaya and strengthen their positions near Bakhmut. Ukrainian retreat allowed the Russian military to advance and take control of the Bakhmut-Lisichansk highway. Fighting began for the Konstantinovka-Bakhmut road. As a result, Russian forces reached the outskirts of Bakhmut. Fighting for the town broke out in August.
So far, Russian Wagner fighters have advanced on the eastern outskirts of the town. After the mop up operation in the industrial area, Russian PMCs are destroying Ukrainian positions on the streets.

Russian T-80 tank destroyed Ukrainian stronghold on the outskirts of Bakhmut:
To the south of Bakhmut, Wagner fighters took control of Kurdyumovka and are storming Kleshcheyevka. They are in no hurry to storm the heavily fortified Ukrainian strongholds in Bakhmut and continue their advance to the west, slowly encircling the city. The head of the Wagner Group has earlier declared that Russian forces are not aimed at storming the heavily fortified town of Bakhmut but to destroy Ukrainian units there.
Shooting on the positions of the 17th Tank Brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, which is suffering huge losses in the area of Bakhmut:
Ukrainian “hand-made” MLRS hiding in residential area is another reason why the settlements in the Donbass are almost destroyed by the battles. The video was reportedly made in the Bakhmut area:
Fighting is ongoing on the southern outskirts of Bakhmut in the town of Opytnoe. According to some recent reports, Russian fighters have already entered Bakhmut from the southern direction and fighting broke out on the streets. However, the head of the Wagner PMC did not confirm the reports. Mr Prigozhin claimed that his fighters first secure their positions in newly captured settlements and officially declare their control only in a few days. In their turn, Ukrainian forces attempt to counterattack in the village but without any significant success.
Foreign fighters in the Bakhmut area:
Members of the Ukrainian Nazi battalion Aidar are holding their positions in residential buildings on the Shkolnaya street in Opytnoe, accumulating armored vehicles in this part of the village. During the recent offensive of the Wagner assault groups, they took control of two strong points of the AFU:
On the northern outskirts of Bakhmut, Russian fighters are storming the village of Podgorodnoe.
In their turn, Ukrainian command continues sending additional troops to the area in an attempt to defend the destroyed Bakhmut. Ukrainian servicemen are fortifying their military positions on the streets. They deploy firing points in private apartments, dig trenches at crossroads, preparing for prolonged street battles.
