One service member of the US-led coalition has been killed and another one has been injured in an IED explosion in Iraq, according to an official statement released on Monday.
The satement says that the IED struck the vehicle with US-led forces on October 1.
“One Coalition service member was killed and another was injured when an IED struck their vehicle Oct.1 in Iraq. The names and circumstances surrounding the incident are being held pending notification of next of kin, and will be released at the discretion of the pertinent national authorities,” the statement of Combined Joint Task Force (Operation Inherent Resolve) reads.
